Agreed with Even.
What setup files are you talking about?

IF you are trying to 'Find' the file where the password it located on someones hard drive and 'reading' it or modifying it.... It does not work that way.
If not then explain yourself completely.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Do you mean the files which in earlier versions were
stored in Windows/Options/CABS/ ?

Edit to add:

I think Derek, below, is right. The reason Windows/Options/CABS/
on my computer is empty is that I installed Windows myself.
It was filled on an older computer by the manufacturer.

My windows XP net book did not come with a setup disk. The setup files where in the windows file on the C drive. I used them to re-install Windows XP on the net book after it crashed on me. Now I have a new net book with windows 7 on it and it did not come with a setup disk ether. What I need to know is if there are setup file for window 7 on the C drive in the Windows 7 directory like windows XP had.

As far as I am aware XP itself does not put setup files on the HD during install.
These, if present, are supplied by the computer manufacturer. This situation varies wildly with what computer make and model you have.

Maybe with more information (including computer make/model) someone can help you.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
