Specs: Windows 7, / 18 ram
I havea two year old Toshiba and when I try to boot up, all I get is :" no bootable device"

It could be that the hard drive is going bad. If you boot into the BIOS, can you see the drive listed?

Doing the best I can here... And remember, there's always more than one path to success. :)

Or if this is a used one you just picked up maybe there's no drive in it at all. People often sell them that way so there's no chance of any of their personal information getting out.
