i hear noise on my computer when watching a video on the web, could this be my hard drive, if so what can i do

ok ill try it sounds like a car being driven in the wrong gear or a grinding sound.

OK, that's a fair explanation (not easy I know).

Do you think it comes from the speakers or the case? If it's from the case then it does indeed sound like the HD is about to fail. The only problem I have with that idea is it doesn't usually elect to do so only when playing web videos.

i downloaded a video clip because of this problem,however i heard the same noise on the video when i was offline( this just happened). i dont think it think its coming from the speakers,i just tested a dvd and the sounds ok.im not sure what you mean the case

What I meant is "Is it radiating from the laptop or PC itself (the box) rather than coming out of the speakers". If so it is probably the HD - it doesn't sound like fan noise from your description.
