What was the D drive originally? A hard disk? A DVD-ROM?

You've been helped by a 14 year old.

If D drive is your recovery partition, its being hidden is a good thing. Check in Disk Manager for what it says about the partition. If it is active and has a drive letter and is your recovery drive then do nothing. If it is another hard drive partition of your making then it depends on what it says. If it is a drive without a letter, you can assign a letter there. If it is unallocated, you will have to partition it and format it. If you had data on the partition then use Quick Format and then try a recovery program like recuva to try to recover as many of your files as you can.
Give us more details and what it is showing you for more help.
