I keep reciepts for item I purchase on line and rather than use ink/paper, I print to files using an HP all in one. They go to printer files that has a .prn extension but show only as file in mt docs. how do I open them so I can read the info.

prn files are meant to be printed not viewed. This is because they contain all the printer codes for printing.

Perhaps you would be better off doing print screens of the receipts and saving them as a bmp file which you can then read.

Now if this printer is a postscript printer you should be able to use a post script viewer like GSview.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
