what kind of windows 7 is out there right now

Specs: Windows Vista, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz/ 3.2 GB Ram
i want to change my OS instead of using vista 32bit anymore, cause it's frustrating me. how many kind of windows 7 is out there right now? which one will be best suit for gaming? what is the price? is there anymore windows that are also good for gaming other than windows 7?

any opinions are appreciate.

Any Windows 7 apart from Basic will be suitable for gaming - check the specifications needed for the games you are running. You may find that it's your graphics card that's causing the problem, especially if you only have integrated graphics. If all you are doing is playing games you may be better off reverting to Windows XP or alternatively sell your PC and buy an X-Box or a PS-3.

In addition to that, you should know that all versions of any 32 bit operating system can only access 4GB of RAM. If you want to use mose RAM then go for 64 bit.

You should check your system for compatibility before buying Windows 7. Look at the second link to check to see if your system is ready for Windows 7. Verify drivers for all your hardware are available too.
