Specs: Windows 7
its seems to be acting really sensitive I can't do things on the internet or my computer since it will click on something even when I don't! I can't move the mouse because it will highlight stuff even though I haven't clicked and I have to worry because it will click on a link even when I haven't done so btw this is the mouse on the laptop not a wireless one, I have no clue why this is doing it and I can't figure out how to make it stop I don't have the tap click setting on doe anyone know why it is doing this?

also this is an HP laptop

Ok, let's start out with slowing down, taking a deep breath and and actually writing a sentence that makes sense.

"by the way this is a mouse on the laptop not a wireless one"

Do you mean you are using the touchpad on the laptop?

If it's moving around on it's own and actually selecting links and such, you may have a virus. However judging from your rambling paranoid post, it sounds more like you are just having issues with an oversensitive touch pad. Try plugging in a regular wired USB mouse andc see if that helps.

control panel/mouse adjust the settings so it is less sensitive, if that fails
control panel/device manager/mouse/touchpad uninstall/reboot that should reinstall your mouse to its original sesitivity.
you could also clean the mouse pad, with a damp cloth and a little pressure..

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
