Specs: Windows XP
How to skip configuring service pack on Windows 7 start up? It takes quite a time to start windows, I wish to skip this phase on start up, any help please?

I would allow the system to install SP1. Once it is done you wont be bothered again.

There is no good reason not to install SP1.

If you really do want to abandon SP1, go to the Windows Update and tell it to ignore SP1

THANKS STUART, I SHALL WORK THIS OUT. ITS REALLY ANNOYING WHEN YOU NEED TO START THE PC AND TAKES QUITE A WHILE BEFORE IT STARTS COMPLETELY.

If you let it complete the installation, you shouldn't have anymore problems. Unless it's corrupt & that's why it pops up on every restart?
