W7 Device Manager show error for WAN Miniport

June 3, 2010 at 08:22:25
Specs: Windows 7
I noted in the devices that there is an error for the WAN Miniport (ATW)#2. Using the window trouble shooting program advises a "Device cannot start (Code 10)" msg. Additionally informs driver missing. However, using window onboard driver update pgm, informs driver is functioning.
How do I resolve this program. Not sure any thing is adversely effected by this error.

IMO it is best to get any hardware drivers from the manufacturer.

You didn't post any configuration info so I can't suggest where to go for drivers.

Could be that you have two listings for that hardware. Look in Device Manager to confirm.

Remove it in Device Manager but uncheck Remove Drivers if the checkbox is ticked.

Upon restarting, Windows will reinstall the drivers. This may correct the situation. If not, find updated drivers for the device.
