W7 BSOD files missing in application folders

May 23, 2011 at 05:14:03
Specs: Windows 7
Hello. This has been my worry since yesterday. Yesterday, I had the BSOD. After giving me the stop warning, I ran the safe mode then I ran into Normal Mode. Then, I ran some registry cleaners since the BSOD (which legally erased some temp files)
After a few tries, I noticed that my desktop icons were missing and some of my files in drive C were missing. After unhiding some files and folders, I get to see them. But I still have some application folders with missing files. For example, my Office folder don't have the applications inside though I know that they are still not erased. The same is true for my downloaded applications that I installed before the BSOD.
Oh, I can't defrag or run checkdisk on my local c driver.
Can somebody tell me what's thee problem and help me what to do? Help very much appreciated.

go back into safe mode run a system restore to before things went wrong.. and never use a registry tool again...they all mess up even when you think you know what your doing.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
