Solved Volume not working for websites

September 3, 2012 at 21:15:41
Specs: Windows 7 64 bit service pack 1, Intel Core 2.20 GHz ram 4.00 GB
Volume not working on websites like you tube, listening to sample music on amazon etc, on my user (which is the administrator) running win 7 on HP laptop.

Here is the strange thing--- on other users the volume works fine.

I have checked the mute, turned it up etc. It does work for various sounds like incoming mail, playing music, playing dvds, etc. Seems like some sort of setting that needs to be changed but can't figure out what that could be.

So when you say reinstall, I need to go to add remove programs and uninstall adobe flash and java then install them again? And also do the same with IE? THANKS for your help!! I will be happy to get this issue fixed. Wonder why everything is ok on the other users. Strange.

no i said redownload flash and java and reinstall them, FYI u cant remove IE from ur pc u can just disable it, so i need u after u reinstall flash and java to perform a rull reset on internet explorer:
to do that simply open up the browser then go to tools internet options then click on advanced tab and reset
note that this will remove everything from history to saved passwords but will get IE back to its default state
