videos stop and start many times while playin

Specs: Windows 7
I have windows 7 on an Acer desktop pc. Most, but not all, videos from You Tube will start, play for a few seconds, stop for about 10 seconds and repeat this process over & over again. I believe this is called 'buffering'. Other videos that are played with Win-Amp or Windows Media usually play without doing this. Is there a solution?

The buffering is because the file is not completely downloaded when it starts to play so your computer needs to wait for enough more to come in before continuing. It may be your connection speed or it may be the server that is causing this problem. If you do not find this problem with video over the internet other than You Tube, it probably is not your connection speed. About the only way you will be able to watch these without the pauses, is to create your own pause. If you begin the video and then pause it manually, it will 'buffer' and build up more of the entire video on your computer. When you get a little more than half of the video in, click on play/resume and you will not experience the pauses while watching.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
