verbatim hdd is unallocated

Specs: Windows 7
I have a 500GB store and go, I deleted everything I had on it so I could format to FAT32 now my computer won't recognise it but it is in the device manager . Please help It's driving me nuts !

If it's in Device Manager then you just need to right-click 'My Computer', select 'manage' and choose 'disk management' - your disk will probably be shown as 'raw' or 'unallocated'. Right click the drive and follow the prompts to partition & make it active, once it's been assigned a letter it will reappear as a drive.
