Unmerging a .jpg and .rar merged file

Hi people, hope you can help me with this:

I have hide a .rar file into a jpg file, the procedure for merging is this:

Have an image file and a rar file in the same directory, then "copy /b image.jpg + file.rar newfile.jpg"

Now I have one file called "newfile.jpg" which appears as a normal photo but contains my rar in it.

More info here: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/com...

My question is if is possible unmerging the files, I want to recover the pic and the rar separatedly, is this possible with a command line, or a program?

Is there a way to edit the merged file to recover the two original flles an both of them work again stand alone?

Hope i've been clear explaining this, if not just let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Sure. And it's explained very clearly in the link you supplied.
