Problem I had was that the hard drives that I was tryin to use were not formatten on the Sata also mixing size of drives gave me a big headache. Try just one drive at a time first. Hope this helps

Set Bios to have SATA drives recognized as IDE drives, at least until XP is loaded and SATA drivers are loaded, set CD/DVD drive as first in boot order, Then use XP install disk, choose custom and format/partition. Delete the W7 partition and create a new partition in the now available space.
Are you sure you want to go back to XP??? For old hardware it generally works better, but for new modern hardware, Windows 7 is clearly better than XP. For many older programs, there is compatibility and for many of those that will not work that way, there is always an XP virtual machine running under Windows 7.
Also, are you sure that your hardware has available drivers for XP? Sometimes a problem on newer hardware.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
