Uninstalled game registering as installed

Specs: Windows 7
I recently tried to install the game Rome:Total War onto a Windows 7 computer. However, during installation, the installer stopped responding, so I ended the program. However, when I tried to put the disk in to try again, it acts as if the game is installed. The 'install' button is grayed out and the 'play' button is lit up. I also can't uninstall the program, as it isn't on my list of programs. (When I go to 'add or remove programs). The start menu also has no uninstall option. So, the problem is that the game won't run, yet it thinks it is installed. Are there any solutions to this problem, or will I be unable to run the program on this computer?

Google for Revo Uninstaller (there is a free version). I am sure this will find any leftovers of the install and uninstall it for you.
