You need to explain a bit more. Are you trying to upgrade an existing version of Windows or is this a clean installation? How are you doing the installation - using a disk or download?

I'd suspect that you either have the boot priority set incorrectly on your system or there's an issue with the disk.

john i am trying to reinstall with a windows 7 disk. so i set my boot priority to boot from cd. its a clean installation.it later succeceded in copying the files but then it will restart and repeat the install process again.

It does sound like a hardware fault of some sort - an issue with the disk or your hard drive so that's worth checking as well.

What was the reason for reinstallation? Were you having unexplained problems before? And when you say it's a 'clean installation' is this to a completely formatted drive? What sort of disk are you using - a full version or a system-created disk?

... at some point in the installation you are required to remove the disc before reboot otherwise it will re-read the disc and start the installation again.

During the installation, you will see the message > Press any key.

Note: During the install, you will get reboots & see that message again. Ignore.
