Unable to install IE6 SP1 under Windows 7

Specs: Windows 7
we are unable to install IE6 after uninstalling IE8 in WIN7 x64 configuration...its asking for service pack1 installation .. can u please help us !!

Have you tried IE7? - it's the one that originally came with
Windows 7. I don't think many would recommend reverting to
IE6 anyway.

You cannot use IE6 with Windows 7. Windows 7 came with IE8 and no earlier version will work.

In Windows you can only downgrade to what the OS originally came with or later.

I can't believe some people still actually want to run IE6...I'll scratch my head on that one! It is not even supported by M$ anymore, they phased it out.

If you are not happy with IE8, use Firefox, and keep IE8 for windows updates.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.
