A lot of times, Windows will decrease my resolution. I have no idea why. Then, if I try to change it by right-clicking on the desktop, and select "Screen resolution", I can't increase it back up to 1680x1050. I can select it, hit "Apply", then "Keep settings", but it will drop back down to 1024x768. The highest that I can go up to is 1280x800. Why is this?

What is the native resolution of your monitor?

1680 x 1050. It's a HP w2207. If it helps, I have an AMD Radeon HD 6670 adapter (yes, I know it's old).
