unable to do system recovery

November 14, 2011 at 14:55:44
Specs: Windows 7 Homw Premium, Intel(R) Pentium CPU 2.00 GHz Ram 4.00 GB
I clicked on “Backup and Restore” in Control Panel, then clicked on “Recover system settings on your computer”, Clicked on “Advanced recovery methods”, then I chose the first option that starts with “Use a system image you created earlier….”. I then clicked “skip” because I already had a back up. It then takes me to the page “Restart your computer and continue the recovery”, when I click restart….it shuts off the computer and goes to a black screen that has the “hp” logo and down in the left hand corner, press <esc> for start menu…..then it just sticks there, is there another way to do this?

How did you make the backup you already have? If by using Backup and Restore then why did you choose skip?

The method you began can create an image of your hard drive and later use that for a recovery, you want to do a Factory Restore which is different.
For HP look here for details:

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
