ubuntu hangs on installing ubuntu 10.10 with

Specs: Windows 7, 2.oo gb
i downloaded and installed ubuntu 10.10 inside windows and installation was complete it asked me for rebooting ...i did it instantly ..then at start up screen it asked me for username and password .as i entered .. the cursor and the keyboard got hanged i was not able to do operations as i cant enter inputs .. please try providing me some solution for this problem

Do a full power off and then try again. If fails then consider some safe mode boot options in ubuntu.

If fails then remove wubi.

This is why I don't use wubi.

I do not understand why installing Linux within Windows. People use Linux to avoid WIndows or they want their OS to be 'bulletproof'. Partition your hard drive or add another hard drive and install Linux in dual boot set up along side windows for it's true advantages. SUSE has a good version you can download and burn install DVD. As for now, boot to Windows 7 safe mode and do a system restore to before you installed it. If there are any files remaining after that, you can safely delete them as the registry will be the same as before you installed it.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
