Solved Turn off Write Protection on USB external drive

Specs: Windows 7, 3.75
I have a 750 GB Western Digital external Hard Drive, and it won't let me "cut" data (only copy & paste) from it because it say's I must turn off the "Write Protection" how do I turn off the write protection?
Thanks for any help on this!

Awesome! Thank You Very Much! Here is a FYI... A WD USB external HD by default will TURN ON WRITE PROTECTION if your HD is usb connected and your computer goes into Hibernation or is Shut Down and restarted. I believe this to be true if you have "WD Smartware" software installed on your Windows 7 OS. I read this on WD.com website. I hope this helps people to take the necessary precautions when shutting down or before hibernation, UNHOOK your usb external HD before shutting down for the day or night!
