Trying to search for a name from an email address

March 24, 2013 at 07:30:06
Specs: Windows 7
I use windows live mail. I have received emails from an unknown person with a gmail address. Those emails have been deleted. Is there any way to recover them. Also.. I have done many searches by the email address and every search provider I've used will not give any information unless I pay for it, even when the provider says free search. Does anyone know how to get a name for the email address.

once you delete e-mails they float off into cyber space and are gone forever....also those searches you mentioned are pretty well bogus....just to get your money. As you probably know, ANYONE can make up an e-mail address, so the chances of finding out who it was is pretty well nil...good luck.

edit: didn't see the above post at time of posting, sorry for the duplication.

I should point out at this point, that there is no guarantee of getting a real name even if you get the full name from the email address. Although it is a usual thing for people to use real names, there is no verification process. In truth, its probably not worth it. Google has some very specific privacy rules, and they would be the best source(but again they wouldn't release that information without a court order..and maybe not even then,)

However, you might be able to cheat around it.

As to the emails that you deleted, you can check your online trash, if that is where you deleted it. They might still be present.
