Tried to back up on a sub folder in external drive.....

Specs: Windows 7, 1.4 GHz / 5610 MB
the drive letter is E and I wanted to backup in the subfolder I made backup.
so it would be E:/backup
I went into the windows 7 back up and restore and it ask where to put it I clicked browse and the E:/ opened and I saw the other files in there, but when i clicked on the backup file, it just opened up itself, instead of making it the setting. Not sure hope I described it, any help please...

I agree with Jefro. If you made a folder called Backup and then double clicked it and it opened, it should be blank. Try to explain a little better what you did.

Thanks, I wanted the backup to go into the backup folder, but would only go into E

then map a drive letter other than e: to the subfolder and backup will use that instead

Windows 7 has a default setting, use it then move the files to where you want them.
