toshiba satellite windows 7 cannot start up

April 19, 2011 at 04:17:12
Specs: Windows 7

my toshiba 64-bit; intel core 2 duo P7450---hangs up after the "starting windows" display, then displays only the cursor. afterwards, it restarts and recommends to boot "launch start up repair". I have tried f8 and all the options there but nothing works..I have also tried using a windows 7 recovery disc...still did not work.

thank you for any assistance you can extend.

I have the same computer and the same problem. Mine is at a repair shop now but it sounds like he isn't making much progress. How can one "save files by booting with a Linux boot disk" if the computer won't even boot up because it is automatically stuck onStartup Repair?
