Toshiba Satellite Laptop cannot boot

October 17, 2013 at 13:55:34
Specs: Windows 7
I just bought and installed Spyhunter in my toshiba laptop to remove this DELTA search virus.
After the installation, l scanned my laptop and the spyhunter detected the delta search virus and other malwares it deemed harmful to my laptop.
I pressed FIX IT as instructed and the Spyhunter removed the supposed harmful software and Delta search.

Thew software instructed me to restart my laptop. I did just that and my laptop cannot boot anymore. l keep getting
fdisk cannot open /dev/sdb : No medium found

unfortunately, l do not have a startup disk for Toshiba Satellite L750/L755 1MU to use and start my laptop.

Please, how can l resolve this problem

Thanks

Iyke

We are missing a piece of the story. /dev/sdb is a Linux disk label not Windows. The specs at the top of your post says Windows 7. Did you have dual boot?

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

Please, l do not understand what you meant by dual boot.
The laptop powers on but cannot boot. I just placed an order from Amazon for

Toshiba Satellite L755-S5112 Notebook/Laptop PC series System PC Boot / Repair / Fix CD for Windows XP,Vista, 7 & 8 Disc

Please, advice. Can this repair disc help to boot up and repair the laptop.

Many Thanks

Did you try to install Linux or another operating system? /dev/sdb/ is not a windows hard drive label.
