More information please.
If new -> take it back for another one
If recently stared this -> try system restore (in safe mode if needed) [Use power cord during system restore]
If not very new -> try blowing compressed air in through vents to clear out dust
-> Try running Malwarebytes in safe mode.
** You may also have a memory problem, If you have more than one memory stick, try with one at a time and then switching to see if that allows you to boot up and stay up for a while. replace memory stick if needed. You can verify memory problems more exactly if you want by running Memtest86 from a bootable CD you make from a download image.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Delayed response...
OK, Try a few simple answers first.
How new is the laptop?
Did it come with Windows 7? What?
Have you tried starting in Safe Mode with networking? (You can run virus and malware scans, run a system restore, update drivers and other things if you can get into safe mode as well as tell if hardware might be an issue)
Were you having other problems before you began having starting problems?
Also add any details you can think of, some things might help diagnose the problem.

sounds like a temp issue, boot into bios tap del key at start you should have a section that shows the temps, cpu etc, post those #'s. get a can of compressed air and blow out all the vents, then vacuum all the vents.
take 1 mem stick and try to run the machine, then swap the other so you only one at a time, that way you can check if its a mem stick issue.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
