Toshiba L555d locks up

December 27, 2011 at 04:49:55
Specs: Windows 7, AMD 2200 MGZ 3 GBS Ram
My Toshiba Satellite L555D locks up when ever it feels like it. Sometimes will run for 2 or 3 days before it locks up, other times it will lock up several times in a hour. It will lock up when it is sleeping or just setting here idle.
I have checked for Viruses using Microsoft Essentials, checked Malware using MalwareBytes. I have also run Driver detective for outdated drivers.
Using Windows 7 Home Premium
X86-PC
AMD Turion 2 Dual-Core
3GBS memory
Also have checked the memory and is ok.
I installed a small Core Temperture program and temp. runs between 99 degrees - 138 degrees
I have to hold the power button down to shut it down and reboot.

Any thoughts would be appreciated
Adam
I almost forgot, it runs just fine in Safe Mode, no problems there.

This is your typical case of multi-issues, lol..

The first question I pose is how long do you leave it on?

It will lockup sometimes 5 minutes after a cold boot up. Generally the most it is left on is 12 to 18 hours. Sometimes it will go a couple days before it will lock up.

I have found that the video driver is causing the Laptop to lock up. If I uninstall the Video driver, the Laptop works great. I reinstalled the driver from Microsoft updates and the Laptop locked up after 10 minutes use. Same with the Toshiba drivers.

What's up with this?
Any help would be appreciated.
