Solved Thunderbird email stuck on building inbox summary

Specs: Windows 7
For some reason My Thunderbird email is looping on "Building Summary for Inbox"
How can you fix this. I tried compacting the inbox but nothing happened?????

Use Task Manager to shut down Thunderbird. Restart the computer. Download the latest version of Thunderbird and install it as an upgrade (not a clean install since this will wipe out settings and emails). Try it again.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

This may also happen, if Thunderbird is configured, to scan inbox for viruses.
If there is a virus infected email in inbox, Thunderbird stuck and your Antivirus program tries to eliminate the virus and did not come to an end.

From my point of view, it's not necessary, to activate virus scanning in Thunderbird, cause the Antivirus program, which is always running in background, does it's scanning everytime, a program gets started or stored to the hard drive and blocks this program on infection.

I had this in the past, were my Antivirus got an update and wrongly found a virus in one of my older emails.
