Solved This copy of Windows 7 is not genuine

Specs: Windows 7, 3.00 GB
i have a new dell inspiron 1564 laptop.It has windows 7.Something happened and it states 'the copy of windows is not genuine'. i want to activate the windows.For that i need the product key...and it is not at the bottom of the laptop.So where are the product key located in new models of dell laptop?

dell machines use a oem key, its not on the machine, you could use jellybean to get the info, BUT, as its not showing genuine maybe you just need to activate it from the system page, type system in the run box and open system, at the bottom of the page you tap the activate button while connected to the net.

i hate computers!

Perhaps your copy of windows is not genuine.

Oops sorry, I missed the word "New".

HI,
You could try the following steps:

1. Run the MGA Diagnostic Tool

1) Install and launch <a href="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012"MGA Diagnostic Tool</a> .
2) Click the Continue button.
3) Under the Windows tab, click the Resolve button if it is highlighted.
4) Restart the computer.

2. Retype your product key on the activation wizard in system properties to reactivate Windows 7.
