thinkpad r 51 keeps restarting (blackscreen)

April 21, 2011 at 13:41:44
Specs: Windows 7
my thinkpad r51 started going into blackscreen and kept restartin. I then changed the battery, which had been very old and drained. it worked at first and now back to the same. Comp starts fine in safe mode. what could I do to fix it? could it be the motherboard?

its it starts fine in safe mode, its a software issue, probably a bad/damaged driver.

save all your files, do a factory restore and install updates one at a time.
check what updates happened when the issues started.
check the error logs for any indication of what is actually causing the reboots.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
