The wireless button will not stay switched on

March 5, 2013 at 07:26:23
Specs: Windows 7
The blue wireless button will not stay switched on and it takes about 20 attempts before it does. This has happened once or twice, but switches off when the laptop is not in use.

Check in properties, whether the wireless card can be disabled for powersaving.
If it's configured for powersaving, disable this option.

What's about the EventViewer?
Open the EventViewer and try to switch on the wireless network card by pressing the button.
Then in EventViewer, press F5 key to refresh the list of entries.

EDIT:
Btw., is the computer connected to the network by wire at the same time.
Sometimes, wireless gets disabled, while you are connected to the network by cat5 cable.
