the opperation times out

Specs: Windows 64
im trying to download i tunes onto my Daughters laptop.she has windows7 home premium with Norton virus protection.Also she connects to the internet with a pay as u go O2 dongle.I go onto the i tunes page and download the 64version.It asks me wether i want to run or save, I have tryed both,and after a while the opperation times out.
Please can someone help as im not to up 2 date with computers and ive been trying for two days.

Try downloading from different sites. Sometimes a server is overloaded or temporarily down. I would also suggest that you get rid of Norton anti virus. It's a real resource hog. You would be better off with Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free and works well.

You can also download the file onto a wired computer and use a flash drive to transfer the file over (they are real cheap these days) or you can use a Cat5 Network cable to connect it to your home's high speed internet (if you have it and her laptop has the connector). This will save her 'pay-as-you-go' time and money anyway.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
