Switch between IGP & GPU notebook Asus A52JC

Specs: Windows XP, 2gb

the Asus A52JC got i5 450M CPU

and nvidia 310m 1GB graphic card

but when the the notebook is turned on , i saw it says intel graphic .

i discovered that the CPU has graphic bulit in

and windows 7 use it , instead using the nvidia ... also in device manager i saw two video adapters

the intel signed as intel icore graphic

why is it using intel's?

and how do i change it to use nvidia?

You may need to read the manual as different laptops use different systems - newer ones switch automatically, using onboard graphics for boot up & general running to conserve power, and switching to the dedicated graphics only when needed. An alienware machine I saw had a Fn key to toggle between them, and a Lenovo had the settings under 'power management in Control Panel. So either have a look around your machine or check in the manual/manufacturer's website.

It may be in bios. Some select built in and add on that way.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?
