Stupid question regarding HT CPU's & Win 7

November 3, 2010 at 22:35:53
Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit, 3.0Ghz Pentium / 3GB
I recently did a cheap PC build to run as a HTPC with an older 775 P4 with HyperThreading, it is enabled in the bios, so my question is how can I tell if its working from within Windows 7?

Look in device manager and see if there are 2 processors listed. The Hyper Threading feature emulates a 2nd logical (virtual) processor there for making windows see 2 processors instead of one.

Pentium 4s - The processors for the rest of us.

I do see 2 CPU's listed, but shouldn't task manager say I have 2 CPU's or am I mistaken? Also when I run CPU-Z or Speccy it says 1-thread? but in BIOS its clearly marked enabled.
