Specs: Windows 7, IntelQuadcore 2.8 GHz
I have the problem that certain programs or updates refuse to be installed. This goes for updates to Google Chrome and the software on the CD-ROM that came with a USB PCTV DVB-S2 Stick.

This last is a USB gadget to view TV on my computer. I also downloaded the software from the site of PCTV Systems, but also with that I was unable to install.

Other software and updates have no problem.

Can anybody give me a clue what could be wrong in the setup of my computer.

I have a custom built machine with an ASUS P7P55D LE LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel motherboard, 4 GB RAM and Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition.

Image the system. reload it they way you want and see if it works then.

There may be an easier way but that way is the most certain.

Be sure to have a good security suite on at all times.

The image was just in case it all goes to heck and you want to go back. See help and support on how to make a backup to usb drive.

Katy Perry, I'd never treat you badly.
