sky icon not appearing on second users deskto

Specs: Windows 7
with user one we have the sky icon to connect with rather than internet explorer, my son is the other user and his desktop only displays internet explorer, how do we get the sky icon/link to appear on his ?

Navigate to your programs folder (your user) and find the application, right click on it and choose properties, then the security tab, then Edit Permissions and add the same permissions for him that is under your user (click on user and note the check marks then click on the other user. add checks) and OK. You need at typically 'Read and Execute', 'Read', 'Write' as far as I know and he should be good. If the icon does not appear on his desktop (probably not) just navigate to the same place (his user) and right click on the application and move down to 'Send' and right to 'Desktop as Shortcut' and click on that. Back out and he should be good.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
