Simultaneous booting from hard drive and USB

Specs: Windows 7
Is it possible to simultaneously boot Andriod OS (or Linux, for that matter) from a USB drive while Windows is booting from the hard drive? I would like to be able to load Android, use the internet browser until I need another program, then switch to full Windows. Thanks in advance.

No you can not at the same time boot two as such. You can use a virtual machine to overcome that. You can then run many OS's at the same time. Get VMplayer or Virtualbox or Virtualpc. All free and easy to use.

Well, to be totally correct you can run multiple OS's at the same time but they have to be special either in hardware or OS. OS such as co-linux.
