Windows 7 Godmode is nothing new. It is just an "old wine in a new bottle" - a makeover of Windows Vista Master Control Panel that was first posted HERE in October 2008 by a MVP as a convenient way to allow users to get access to all of the operating system's controls in one folder.

On December 12, 2009, a Germany site reinvented it as Godmode and posted it on the internet HERE (use Google translator to translate the entire post). Shortly thereafter the internet became buzzed with it.

For a complete list of all of the 248 shortcuts created in the Godmode folder, look HERE.

By the way, Godmode will work on Vista 32-bit system too. Do not use it on Windows 7 & Vista 64-bits platform.

As it may crash your system

Here is the working workaround for Vista and Windows 7 64Bit

Make a shortcut and set it to point to: explorer.exe shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Thanks for the heads up. I see you got this very useful info from here, CORRECT? and that it is applicable to both 32 & 64 bits Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Needless to say I am somewhat irritated with the Germany site that coined the name Godmode. I think the blogger who authored the Godmode post ought to be reprimanded for plagiarizing the already-published articles on Windows Vista Master Control Panel tweaks.

well thats the internet for ya, everything appears all over the place at the same time, or gets rehashed with each new set of users, its very difficult to find the originator of many things...and who knows who really found it first, although im inclined to think that the code writers would be the originators in most cases, not the hackers or publishers....;-)

Dunno why everyone uses a capital G.

Reports say only 64 bit vista will crash. Win 7 is supported. YMMV
