Solved Security conflict ?

Specs: Windows 7
Hi, I've got a durable problem : When I install updates on my laptop, after restarting it, I loose my internet connexion. So, I have to go back and uninstall all the security updates, and I regain my connexion.

I have no antivirus installed on my computer. See, I just tried to install Avast anti-virus, but after the reboot...same problem : my internet connexion was gone. There seems to be a conflict somewhere...but where ? I just bought a Ipod touch : I can synchronize but cannot access the Ipod store, telling me that I do not have an internet connexion, or have to check it (the proxy is already OFF, the automatic detection is the only one ON in my internet connexions). Anyone, please ? Thanks in advance !

Matt

It it were me, i'd let it install the updates then see what the internet deal is about.

Is nic card still installed (see hardware manager) is it getting an IP address (command ipconfig /all), is dhcp still enabled or do you use static ip????

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
