Specs: Windows 7, core i3
these folders appear on my desktop and other folders, why are they appearing and how do i stop them

Typically, those folders are generated/created by malware. Install some good anti-malware/antivirus software and do a complete scan of your system.

As well as using antivirus software, you may also need to use "Malwarebytes Antimalware" http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Not sure what you mean when you say these appear on your folders.

List which plugins you are encountering. Many times these are piggybacked on free software you install or update. Ask search engine is one such piggyback.

If this is the case you can remove unwanted search engines by clicking on the icon on the left of your search engine box and choosing to manage search engines.

If you are being redirected then you have been hijacked and need to run malwarebytes or similar programs.
