Samsung Nb30 netbook

Specs: Windows 7, Atom N450/2GB

I got a Samsung NB30 netbook with Windows 7 a few weeks ago. I fired it up, connected it to my wifi network at home and all worked just fine until I got up this morning. I can't see the wireless network adapter anymore. Booting the thing up with ubuntu on my USB stick, the wifi still works fine thus it's not a hardware issue. I'm not very Windozy that's why i'm asking here hoping for help. The F9 function key to enable and disable the wireless still seems to work just if i turn it on, Windows still can't see the adapter.... any clues here?
i would like to avoid restoring the whole system - already tried system restore but didn't help... :(

have you tried uninstalling the adapter from device manager and then rebooting?
you may got a failed update...

did you try system restore to a point before the issue started?

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
