✔ Best Answer
Run your virus scans and MalwareBytes freebie (for starters).

Try MalwareBytes to because this often finds and fixes things that other AV's miss.

yan1891, You can install Malwarebytes if you have Avira installed. There is no need to uninstall Avira.

Yep, MalwareBytes is a manual scan so that's fine. Running two AV's in the background all the time is another ball game - they are likely to conflict.

it worked! thank you.

Btw, mbam runs after start up. Doesn't this goes in conflict with the avira? or should I just terminate the program every after start up, or should I just uninstall mbam totally?

It's up to you but if MalwareBytes is only run manually then it is OK to keep in place in case you need it again. In which case keep it updated. Unless the free version of MalwareBytes has changed it doesn't run automatically on startup. You can always turn off your AV when using MalwareBytes but I've never found it necessary to do so.

[With Avira (and other AV's) it is monitoring every move all of the time, so if you have two programs like that they get in each others way].

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
