Ripping songs w/ multiple bitrates & fortmats

June 11, 2010 at 10:35:35
Specs: Windows 7
Can the same song be ripped multiple times with different bit rates and/or formats, and all the digital music files stored in Windows Media Player 12's default music library, on the same hard-drive? (Windows 7 Operating System)

1.) Objective #1: To rip the same song multiple times, w/ "different bit rates" as a WMA file.

2.) Objective #2: To rip the same song multiple times, w/ "different bit rates" as a mp3 file.

3.) Objective #3: To NOT have each subsequent copy (version) of the song, deleted &/or overwritten by the previous version of the [same] song.

I think the meat of the question is in here:
"To NOT have each subsequent copy (version) of the song, deleted &/or overwritten by the previous version"
the obvious answer is what you said "rename it", multiple rips of the same file would delete the previous version unless it was renamed first.
