Solved Right-hand side vertical scroll bar slider problem

January 22, 2014 at 04:01:37
Specs: Windows 7
this used to have an arrow at the bottom that i used to scroll up and down. Now I have to move the 'button' on the bar itself to scroll.
Plus individual windows with scrolls ( like the heading here for the type of problem iyswim) wont move and i have to move my up and down button. Can anyone help please?

Which browser are you using?

If using Chrome… have a read of this:

Seems to be a classic case of a software application that has been "improved" with no real thought about the consequences in general; no consultation with the end-users…

Sadly such ill considered arrogance seems to be an essential part of many a software designer/provider… - though not all.

Don't know what led you to work out the poster was talking about Chrome (or even a browser for that matter) but well done anyway.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

ahh Grasshopper - strange are the ways of this novice…

While there was no mention of IE but - call it a pheeling… - I dun wunder if it was about a browser, as it seemed most likely (and not IE…), so I dun a wee trawl; and lo… there it woz…

I have played with Chrome a little on my one of my Macs, and found that Google like to do things "their" way; and it seems "improve" things with little concern for, or consultation with, the actual end-users, and possible (less than desired) effects…

And thank you for the compliment.
