Solved Restoring Toshiba laptop to factory settings

Specs: Windows 7
Tried to restore my Toshiba Satillite Pro L500 to Factory settings using the method of Holding down the 0 key and switching on. all went well till setting up for first use, then this played over and over again now the laptop will start up.
The computer appears dead

Presumably you are aware that a Factory Restore/reset will erase all your personal files in the process? So hopefully you have safeguarded them off the system - typically to dvd (and/or) an external hard drive...

Was the charger attached while doing the restore? Did you try the restore again? It might have just been a fluke thing that occurred while doing the restore. And what is the 'this' that played over and over again?

If it is dead then the problem wasn't due to the restore. What was the reason you decided on doing the factory restore?
