I trust you realise factory reset will return it to as new, without anything you have saved on it.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

So... before you run a factory reset routine... First save - as in "copy" all yourpersonal files (And that means "stuff" you dont want to lose) to external storage. Typically DVD at least; and if possible an external hgard drive. Check the "copies" are truly accessible on at least one other working system... Then once you have safeguarded your personal "stuff" then maybe go ahead with the factory reset routine...

However... if you run a few cleaner routines first you may find you don't need to reset to factory state... If willing or inclined to go the cleaner route first... post back for the usual list of what to run... Surprising just how much "stuff" is cluttering many systems and how much they slow them down...; and which once removed how much better those systems are - all without a factory reset...
