reset windows 7 password on a netbook?

Specs: Windows 7, don't know
Got a heck of a deal on a netbook the other day as someone forgot there admin password on windows 7. I didn't really thing about it till I went to change it and it dawned on me the thing don't have a cd rom!

I've used the NT offline password and registry editor before on a few different computers but I don't see a way to use it on something that only has usb ports.

Any ideas on how to make it work? Anyone know of a bootable usb flash drive linux with such software on it?

Thanks
Chad

I took response #1's advice after I found out how to restore it. Alt Gr button.
It's all fresh and like new now.

Only thing that sucked about the password programs is you can boot off usb cd rom but none of them would see the windows 7 partition for some reason.

I've heard of the password key making for storing passwords. The netbook was bought at a pawn shop so it didn't come with anything but the power supply.

I personally just make a note of my passwords with notepad, zip it and password it with winrar, then email it to myself. Haven't lost that many yet and I can retrieve them from anywhere I can check my email.
