Replace windows 7 boot files issue

Specs: windows 7, Intel core i5 650 3.2ghz/4gb DDR3
I tried to change the boot image of my windows 7 64 bit causing an infinite restart loop keeping me from booting into the Os. I now have the Windows 7 hard drive in my vista pc so I can access files on it. How can I restore the windows 7 boot files, and what files need replaced? I Don't have the windows 7 disk so I can't do a fresh install. I used a program called win7bootupdater to do the patch.

If you know of anyone with a Win7 machine there is a built-in recovery disk creator - in the System32 folder called 'recdisc.exe' which can be used to create a start-up repair disk that you can then use to repair your system. Unfortunately you cannot run the program from within your Vista setup.
