Specs: Windows 7
I need to reinstall Internet Explorer 9. Our business software will only run on IE 9. Computer says IE9 is loaded, but it won't come up and run. I would like to uninstall and then reinstall.
Thanks, Tom

Realize that the file you'll be directed to is just an installer and not the full version of IE9. You'll have to let it connect to the internet to install, so if your having connection problems, then you'll not be able to use it (but since you're communicating here, I suspect that's not an issue).

Win7 comes pre-loaded with IE9. If you have auto-updates enabled, it updates to IE10 & just recently it updated to IE11. To get back to IE9, you need to uninstall 11, then 10.

If you're sure you have IE9 & neither of the other 2, see the following:

After following riider's suggestions you can go to the Windows update site and IE10 or 11 will show as an available update. You can mark them both to never show again as available.

I also suggest you set the computer to NOT auto update. I have Windows show me which updates are available. You then choose what to install from the lists.
